✈️ Help Jonathan Finally Get the Answers He Needs

Hi, my name is Lyndsay, and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my close friends Jonathan, his wife Amelia, their little girl Hadasah, and their baby boy due this September.

For nearly a year, Jonathan has been experiencing unexplained seizures about every two months. These episodes come without warning, often leaving him disoriented and in pain. Amelia is doing her best to keep him safe while caring for their young daughter. The seizures are unpredictable and deeply disruptive, yet doctors still don’t know what’s causing them.

That’s why Jonathan is scheduled for a specialized hospital stay starting June 3rd. During this time, he’ll be monitored around the clock while doctors attempt to safely trigger a seizure. It’s the only way they can collect the data needed to finally understand what’s going on and start treatment that could give him his life back.

Unfortunately, the hospital costs alone are adding up to just under 25,000 and are not covered by insurance. This is on top of:

Expenses from a medical evacuation helicopter ride during his first seizure & and separate bills totaling over 5,000 in prior seizure-related medical bills.

Jonathan and Amelia are both in aviation, not for profit, but for missionary service. After completing their training in Arizona, they’re now in Pennsylvania, supported by their home church while they wait on much-needed paperwork to be able to start overseas work.

Their goal is to help build a much-needed aviation program in Jonathan’s home country, where access to aviation for missionaries is limited. Amelia is a trained aircraft mechanic, preparing to serve alongside Jonathan in supporting missionary families in South America as soon as they’re able to deploy.

But right now, each seizure resets the clock for Jonathan for when he can safely return to flying. Finding the cause and getting the right treatment is the key to helping him move forward.
